What gauge of shotgun is easier for a teen girl to handel? I don't like recoil or really loud guns?
and I want something stronger then a 410 gauge
Well, you get recoil from any gun and shotguns tend to be the loudest of the long guns.

I suspect you would do well with a 20 gauge, gas operated, semi auto shotgun, like the Remington 11-87.

Noise is easily overcome by wearing proper hearing protection. When I shoot, I often "double plug"; meaning I insert ear plugs and then wear ear muffs over them. At my age, I do not want to take any chances with any more damage to my hearing.

Recoil control is a matter of a proper stance, a proper hold against the shoulder, and just plain getting used to the shove of the shotgun.

My 11 year old grand daughter has a Stoeger, side by side, double barreled, 20 gauge shotgun, a Coach Gun. With it's 20 inch barrels it is both loud and, since it is a light gun, has much heavier recoil than the semi auto I suggested for you. Beth simply plants the gun into her shoulder, leans forward a bit and just cranks off the two rounds. She gets a real kick out of shooting the gun (pun intended). She does minimize the recoil by using skeet loads in the gun.

If she can handle the coach gun, you can handle the 20 gauge Remington 11-87.

There are also slip on recoil pads you can wear while shooting the shotgun.

Good luck, and have some fun.
What is the largest gauge-plug size that is tolerable in a typical work setting so you maybe hired?
because some people will not hire people with plugs or dyed hair. im a 15 year old girl with a non- dyed mohawk and size 7g plugs . will this prevent me from getting jobs? what is the largest gauge i can get and still have a regular job? i .e kroger or mcdonalds aka regular teen jobs
I am an employer in the electronics industry.

Obviously, I would hire a woman who wears earrings, in fact I would think nothing of it. The limit to the maximum plug size I would allow depends on the other clothing worn. This is no different than earrings, which should match your outfit. A 12g plug would go with most any outfit. To wear a 7g plug, you would need to wear slender heels, but they do not need to be more than a couple of inches high. For 00g plugs, you would need to wear really high stilettos that come right down to a point. Basically, the thicker the plug, the thinner the heel.

Back in the days of punk, this was never a problem. But Goth girls tend to wear really ugly and clunky looking rubber platform shoes, and I would not hire one of those. But if you match your footwear to your ear plugs, no problem.

Bottom line, it is not just the plugs, but the entire outfit and the overall impression given that counts.

P.S. If you are uncomfortable wearing spike heels, then don't wear plugs!
How do you gauge the usefulness of those little evening hobby-type classes for adults?
Things we are thinking of taking little courses in:

-- sushi prep
-- bridge
-- various cooking what-not
-- antenatal classes
-- etc, etc

You know the type -- as offered by the local school boards, college, local organisations for the subject, etc.

Some of the course descriptions in the catalogues seem risibly simplistic, though -- I have no idea how people spend three hours making a single, simple soup, and we've been cautioned that some antenatal classes are for clueless teen-agers and wouldn't be useful.

Am I stuck paying an arm and leg for Cordon Bleu (there's a school here...) for reliably good cooking classes, for example, or are these things usually useful and fun? What sort of questions should I ask?
You have to weigh the subject of the class against practical application. If you don't think you need the "Underwater Basket Weaving" class to enhance your everyday life, then go with the "You and Your Car" class. Education is never a waste, but you don't want to have your head filled with a bunch of information that you can only use while rafting in South America. Conversational Spanish is always a good one, cooking classes that show you 57 ways to cook chicken might be better for some than one that only teaches you how to prepare sushi. Home repair classes are always good, and usually fun, just look at what is offered, and what you can really use to enhance what you already have, or introduce you to a culture you've not explored before.

I took "Know Your Car" and "You and Your Car" at our local Vo-Tech, and it was much more beneficial to me than pretty much anything I took in college. I actually put it to use when I blew a hose between towns in West Texas, and could fix it enough to get to the next town.
I really want to put the gauges plug earring that Maci Bookout have on teen mom?
But my ear pierced I don't want to stretch out my ear I just really like those earring and Can you tell what size are Maci Bookout earring and if they will stretch my ear out
I have 6 gauge spacers which are pretty small. I would start out small as you can and go gradually larger if you feel it's for you. You can also purchase fake spacers that give the look without spacing your ears. They look like normal spacers except instead of being the same size all the way through it has a small bar in the middle that you just twist on. I bought mine at a shop called green earth
Ear gauges; MTV teen mom; ryan?
so i decided today that i kinda like gauges and would like get them - small ones like maci's ex-boyfriend, ryan, on the MTV show Teen Mom.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrOfBrCBP…
here's the only problem, im a good guy, i make straight A's, and im not ever in trouble. i want to get a high paying job in the business field after college. i feel like having my ears stretched like this would prevent me from getting a job or make bad first impressions with teachers, etc. would you think the same? i think if i were a teacher and saw a guy in my class with huge gauges i would think he was into trouble, but if they were small - like how i want mine, i don't think it would bother me.

i don't really know how the number thing goes with the gauges and i hear people say they smell horrid. what does it smell like and how far away can you notice the smell? i think by this chart - s1.hubimg.com/u/2183768_f520.jpg - i would get a 4ga or a 6ga? i don't know if thats big or not cuz i want them small. also, say when i get a job, if i wanted to take them out permanently, would my ear lobes grow back together to look normal again??????????

what do you think? should i get them or not?

thanks! (sorry, i was having to rush this)
What i have to say to you-
Why do you want to get gauged ears?
(can you answer this without saying "becuse they look cool on someone else"??
if you cant, dont gauge them, its for all the wrong reasons, and DO SERIOUSLY THINK ABOUT THAT QUESTION

with that said
Your looks dont dictate what sort of guy you are, you could be goth and still be a good guy

stretching your ear in itself is a commitment, and one you will have to live with, sure below about a size 4 your ears can close back up, but to say if they will or wont for sure? i cant, its diffrent for each person

Do they smell? well lets look at why they can smell, our body sheds skin each day, and that on a hole in your body thats not supost to be their creates a sort of septic system in your ear ring, if you clean it you can keep most if not all the smell off, or atlease should, again this is diffrent for everyone

can you get high paying jobs with plugs?
sure, it defently can be harder, but market yourself as the best employee, and you could make the impression, not your ears

as for size, i have 14g in which is 2 mm roughly, wich i think is reasonably big (again this is me, and where i will stay), 6g is considered sorta smallish size normaly though

Another road for you to take, they sell fake plugs, which look about size 4 or so, some on here will say dont be a poser, but honestly if you want to try the look, or get the look without the worries, do this its an easier and cheaper route, spencers gifts has them in their store, and their traditionly at 16g, which will fit into a normal piercing

most of all this is your body your choice, dont be pushed to do it or not to do it, but do ask yourself and answer my question, that can tell you for sure is it for me? or is it just a phase or dumb idea?

and for anyone who says groose or its gay, its their oppion, some one will love it, someone will hate it this is life,

any other questions, feel free to message me,

goodluck
How can i convince my parents to let me stretch my ears for gauges?
I'm a pretty well behaved teen and im pretty sure they wont be expecting this kind of request. I have been working very hard on my grades and am probably getting straight A's this quarter. Do you think thats a good incentive? ask for gauges in return for my hardowrk? Idk hwo to convince them......
That's a great incentive to get your ears gauged. I would have done the same thing if my parents would not have let me. The other way is to just get your ears pierced and then gauge them sometime down the road
Gay boy from my school was sent home for wearing girls clothing?
This gay guy at my school was sent home on Tuesday because he was wearing female clothing. Alot of the students got mad and wanted to do a walk-out but no one did. He was wearing a girl top and a dress with heels. Can the school send him home?

I found this article and it says that the school can.
www.metroweekly.com/gauge/last_wo…
The is school is wrong for doing that...
When I was in middle school, there was this lesbian girl who dress like a guy and nobody cared.

EDIT: Maybe, the boy was too fierce for the school to handle so they had to send him home. *SNAPSNAP!*
Is this a problem with my thermostat in my Ford Explorer?
Temp guage on my 98 explorer doesn't seem to go up. Heat on high warms the inside, but never to a high amount. For example, I drove for 5 hours yesterday, temp never went above the "C" on my gauge, and I had the heat on high the whole time inside the truck. It has been in the teens in Chicago area lately, but it should still get warm.
Also, if so, which thermostat do I need, 192 or 180 degree?
best bet get a 180 one put it in not hard and pretty cheap if that dont fix it your gauge is proably shot
Spending the day with my mom tomorrow?
Im not going to school tomorrow (3 days of school so theres nothing to worry about) So im spending the day with my mom. But I dont know what to do with her? Were just going to the mall to buy some books and a new gauge stretcher for my ear. I want to spend some time with her because I got caught up with school work and all that other teen crap.
It is refreshing to hear that a teen wants to spend the day with her Mom. Make the most of the day. If you guys are completely free, do something spontaneous or crazy. Make sure you guys talk as well. I mean really talk. Your Mother can be your friend as well as your Mother. When your older, you'll value that ability to talk to her. Have fun today and enjoy!!
What could cause sudden nausea in a teen girl?
-15 years old, 5'9, 130 lbs
-for the past two weeks, I've been having random, severe attacks of nausea almost every day.
-the nausea comes on suddenly and lasts for 2-3 minutes.
-the only thing that seems to help is staying absolutely still until the nausea goes away.
-i don't have insurance, so would like to gauge how severe this could be before i make a doctor's appointment.

I appreciate your help in advance! :)
maybe its your period?
or maybe its irregular digestion.
try to eat better ? :)

it doesnt sound too serious, but if it gets worse, i'd see a doctor :)
